JFS ANNOUNCES 18th ANNUAL LIVE STREAM

PATRON PARTY TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS

 EMMY® AND CABLE ACE ® AWARD

WINNER ROY FIRESTONE TO EMCEE THE EVENT

 

(Palm Springs, CA) Tuesday, October 20, 2020… Join us Monday, December 7 at 5:00 pm for the 18th Annual Patron Party, an all-new LIVE Stream event. This year’s party will be hosted by Jerry Fogelson and Bea Keats who will give virtual tours of their two spectacular homes along with the engaging 7-time Emmy® Award and 7-time Cable ACE® Award winner Roy Firestone as Emcee for the evening. Our generous Patrons help to provide the essential support allowing JFS to fund programs offering assistance to those most vulnerable in our Valley.

JFS will have some exciting and interesting twists and surprises during this year’s party including a fabulous gift basket filled with wonderful treats delivered to your home so that you can enjoy it during the live stream event. Plus, a second event, as soon as JFS gets the all-clear from the Center’s for Disease Control, you will be invited to attend an in-person tour of the Fogelson and Keat homes featuring live music and an opportunity to mingle with other JFS Patrons.

Roy Firestone is critically acclaimed as a performer, monologist, humorist, musician, sportscaster, and impressionist, Roy Firestone has performed in more than 2,000 venues spanning over two decades. He has shared the stage with legendary performers Josh Groban, Reba McEntire, David Foster, Forest Whitaker, and Bon Jovi.

As an actor, Firestone was featured in the Academy® Award-winning film Jerry Maguire, where he played himself in an unforgettable and often repeated scene with Academy® Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr.

Mr. Rakowski

 Two-part virtual event. On December 8, 2020, you will receive an email with a link to the movie, Mr. Rakowski, which you can watch on your preferred device. This inspirational documentary highlights a difficult relationship between a Holocaust survivor and his son and how love and healing prevail. You will also receive a link for a live Q&A session on December 15, hosted by Roy Firestone, featuring Raphael Rakowski (one of the movie’s protagonists), director Jan Diederen and JFS leadership.

 

Tuesday, March 9, 2021, 5:30–8:00 pm, PST

The Clergy Boys 

A multimedia production at the Palm Springs Air Museum Drive-in, featuring The Clergy Boys (like those guys from Jersey). The show will include cantorial pieces as well as Broadway, opera, and secular music from the 60’s and 70’s. The evening is guaranteed to entertain you and make you stomp your feet to the beat. There will be social distancing and custom snacks. We will be honoring Elaine and Jerry Morgan with the 2021 JFS Humanitarian Award. If you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to stream the live event.
